Momentum: strength or force gained by motion or by a series of events
I’m so thrilled to be part of a gallery exhibit that is titled “Momentum”. It seems quite appropriate for 2021 as we roll in to the new year with a bit more hope and light.
Springboard Arts Gallery Exhibit
My husband and I took a drive down to Wicker Park – Chicago yesterday to take in the Momentum exhibit. The exhibit is full of inspirational works in various mediums from some equally inspirational artists.
There are sculptures, paintings, ink drawings, multi-media pieces, digital art and more. To walk around the gallery and be in the presence of such amazing artists is quite humbling. I am humbled and honored to be included.
The gallery has a total of 16 of my prints. There are six in this exhibit. We are also working on smaller sizes that are unframed for those who may be interested in framing their own.
The building that Springboard Arts resides in dates back to the late 1800s. It has original brick walls and the tin ceiling, which I love. It reminds me of Louis Sullivan’s architecture.
Here are a few images around the gallery and some of the other artwork in the Momentum exhibit.
The gallery is open to the public Wednesday-Saturday 11:00-5:00. As long as they can stay within COVID-19 guidelines, walk-ins are welcome. They also accept visitors by appointment.
Keeping the momentum going
My own personal journey has also been gaining momentum. I don’t always see it that way but if I stop, sit and be still and really think about what’s happened in the last several months it could be considered Momentum. I hope you get a chance, if you’re local to head down to Springboard Arts Gallery and check it out. It’s a beautiful, comfortable, light and uplifting space. Something we could all use.
Please share – there are many art lovers in the world and even if you can’t visit in person, finding and sharing art online is still a good way to spread light.
