Wabash Bridge Up

The Wabash Avenue Bridge is caught mid-lift, its massive arms raised like the city is taking a deep breath, and there’s something unexpectedly graceful about that industrial machinery frozen in motion.

Marina City’s circular balconies stack up in the middle, organic and almost playful, right next to a sleek glass tower that couldn’t feel more different in spirit. Looking straight up at these structures strips away all the street-level noise and lets you see them as pure shape and shadow.

It’s a reminder that cities don’t erase their past — they just keep building on top of it.
