Holiday in the United Kingdom

My plans to create images using the Kodak Charmera while on vacation didnโt pan out as I envisioned and thatโs ok. To be honest, I even left my DSLR in the room for a few days.
Yep, the funk or needed creating break continues and Iโm doing my best to lean into that and whatever it might mean.
The total number of photos I shot with the Kodak Charmera was 25. This issue of the Charmera Chronicles showcases 18 of them. The rest were too similar or not worthy of inclusion for some reason. These images, as with all of the Charmera images, are unedited. They are imported into Lightroom, then exported at 1600 long edge.

I believe this scene caught my eye as we hauled our luggage from the bus station to our apartment. Arriving on April 23rd, we spent one night in Oxford, which was just a place to be close to picking up our rental car.

We dropped off our bags and spotted an outdoor food market, so we wandered over and had dinner. Then we did a bit of walking around and found a lovely outdoor pub. Nothing got unpacked, including my camera. But the Charmera fits so easily into a pocket, I grabbed that out of my camera bag and found a few things to record.

One of our destinations was the Lake District in England. Buttermere Lake was recommended to us by a few people, so on April 26th, thatโs where we headed.
Itโs a landscape photographer’s dream. Stunning scenery, mountains, lakes, waterfalls and moody weather. This is the only Charmera image I took there. My Canon 6D did a lot of work on this stop; itโs the day I took the most photos on our entire trip.
Cirencester

The next time the Charmera came out of my pocket was May 7th. By this time, we had met up with some old friends to spend a few days. Cirencester is a lovely Roman town and the largest in the Cotswolds.
At this point, I was done carrying around my camera bag and DSLR. So, the Charmera popped out of my pocket quite a bit here.

These are a few of the images from the Corinium Museum. Itโs always fascinating to me to see the Roman history of these places. The Charmera was easy to use here and there wasnโt anything Iโd be putting in a portfolio.
Before we left on this trip, I thought Iโd have Charmera images from every day. I have to be honest, it was nice to enjoy the scenery, company and surroundings without thinking about taking photos.
