Our Home Base
When looking for a place to stay while visiting the Lake District, I chose a location on one of the lakes. The Ullswater Inn in Glenridding was perfect. We arrived in the late afternoon and decided to relax that evening. There is a beautiful outdoor deck area overlooking the lake, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The next day we drove to Buttermere for a short hike. We had just enough time when we got back to Ullswater to catch the last Ullswater Steamers scenic cruise of the day. Then back to the Inn for dinner and drinks.
